Many puzzle hunters spent a long time scanning The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit when solving this puzzle. In fact this puzzle refers to the Norse poem Völuspá which includes a section called Dvergatal. Tolkein used many of these names in his later books.

The title refers to the English name of the poem: Prophecy of the Seeress.
